Illinois Central Jazz Train

 In every band there are certain musicians that are the foundation of the group’s sound and style. The group would be somehow fundamentally different without out them. Toby Thomas is one of those people for Jazz Train. Toby is our lead alto player, but his importance in the band cannot be overstated. In rehearsals, many in the sax section have been heard saying things like: “Just play whatever under Toby and it will sound fine. He'll will carry us through it,” “Just listen to Toby,” “Don’t worry, Toby’s got this,” or “l guess Toby made the one mistake he will make this rehearsal.”...read the full story here
